Dynamic training is not a static set it and forget it training plan but a custom plan delivered via Training Peaks from the relationship of 1-on-1 coaching. No static plan, completely customized to your goals, work schedule, race/event dates and highly dynamic based on real-world challenges and changes that occur on a day-to-day basis. This is working directly with a coach to set goals, measure objectives and work towards the desired result by constantly evaluating where you are at and adapting the training accordingly. Designed from the ground up to be completely customizable from general instruction focusing on skills like cornering, descending, switchbacks, step-ups/downs, climbing, etc. You can have 1-on-1 or small group environment if you’d like to get a group of your riding buddies or teammates together to share in the knowledge. With over a decade of coaching experience and personal competition, I’ve compiled training plans aimed at preparing for specific events like the Leadville 100 or Breck Epic to general plans aimed at preparation for a local crit series or one-day event based on the science and success I’ve had with athletes historically. Or if you just want to work on improving a specific personal area or weakness, then my modules revolve around training cycles (Base, Build, Race, Peak, etc.) or energy systems (Aerobic, Threshold, VO2max, Specificity, etc.) that can be used individually or combined for a great progression. With a background that started with Nutrition in college but driven by a passion for research and continued learning, I have a unique take on Wellness, Fitness, & Nutrition as often Sports Performance doesn’t equal Wellness and often they are on opposite tracks. Keeping track with current trends & research, like Low-Carb High Fat (LCHF), Ketogenic, Fasting, Nutrient timing & cycling, etc., is key to individualizing a program that works for each individual. Just like with performance training there is more than one way to the end result and a cookie cutter approach doesn’t work for everyone. A proper fit for your bike is crucial to put in the repeated rigors of training. My fitting philosophy is adapting fit to real-world applications of the terrain and applications you’ll be uniquely facing while reflecting on the established safe normative data for joint angles and range of motion with Retul fit training. I accomplish this by treating each fit individually with unique needs in mind and digging down to simple details that are often overlooked like shifter and brake placement.
