Goals don’t always need to be around FTP or intervals so spending some time where your less comfortable may help see gains. Maybe not directly correlated but if SNS ((fight or flight) is less primed at any point in an effort or race you have an upper hand on sparing glycogen and going longer. It’s easy to go out and make each session fall within your comfort bubble. 

So going out with #icoachbadasses @chroniclesofpete to mutually up the ante of getting out of that comfort zone was just the intent. From the days of dirt jumping & racing Mtn-X/dual slalom it brought back sensations of being in the air & I equate that proficiency to efficiency all these years.

Just because you’re looking out for your kiddos Just because you’re looking out for your kiddos to eat well doesn’t mean they can’t enjoy hot cocoa on a snow day. Made some with an unsweetened coconut/almond non-dairy blend with a blend of vanilla @ancientnutrition bone broth & some other chocolate protein powder & spiced it up with a strip of organic 72% dark peppermint chocolate. Well received by all and was a nourishing snack holding us all over while lunch warmed up & even allowed me to get out for 1st run in many months with Hank in the blustery cold burst.
