Sometimes you’re not quite ready for dynamic 1-on-1 coaching, you’d like to get a taste of following a structured plan, or even want a plan derived from the experience-based background derived from decades of working with athletes. Well here is your opportunity to explore those options;
FASTR is an acronym for Field-adapted Scientific Trails & Research and is a concept of producing a real-world training module based on the methods and results derived from a scientific study. Often these are very intensive as the scientific methods have controls and strict time periods, but results are clearly identified in the literature. As with any training intervention, individual results may vary within the scope of responders and non-responders.
These are plans based around Energy system development or specificity training based upon the experience of coaching athletes for decades. The training plans come to life with the extra added Notes and details provided in the workout Comments intended for learning yourself as an athlete, calling audibles, and making it more individualized for you. Think of improving FTP/threshold, VO2max, Anaerobic Capacity, or Aerobic Base.
Event-based plans are based around events I’ve had extensive experience with both personally and coaching and usually fall into the Bucket List style of events. Think Breck Epic, Leadville 100, Dirty Kanza, Epic Rides series, 12-24 hour events, Pikes Peak Apex, etc. From the years of battling in the trenches at these events and then preparing athletes for them by being behind the scenes or in the feed zones; I have the experience to get you to the finish or improve your experience.
